About Kristina N. LaCour, FNP-C
“Compassion is the wish to see others free from suffering.”- Dalai Lama
This is one of many favorite quotes—there is such truth in its simplicity. Compassion directed me to a career in nursing, and continues to serve as the foundation of my practice.
During my nursing career, I cared for patients across a vast spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses. Each patient’s story struck a chord in my heart and I felt honored to play a part in their recovery. I was reluctant to let that go when I became a nurse practitioner, although it wasn’t long before I realized I now had the opportunity to form unique, collaborative relationships with my patients as I join them on their personal journeys. Not one person is on the same path, and I strive to improve their respiratory health and overall quality of life through individualized care. I am backed by an amazing team of pulmonary specialists, and am privileged to be a part of this group of skilled and compassionate providers.
At home, I’m mom to a pretty darn good kid and one goofy pup. I’m a sucker for silly jokes and have a love for family, traveling, hiking, and yoga. By the way, don’t let the name fool you—I’m actually a spicy Sicilian girl from San Francisco…and my practice is dedicated to the memory of my father and older brother, who both battled lung cancer.
