About Judith A. Newell, FNP-BC
I have worked in health care since becoming an RN in 1988. I have been a Nurse Practitioner over 20 years, having worked at Pulmonary Associates since 2000. I have been especially fortunate to work with some exceptional physicians who have encouraged me to do whatever necessary to provide quality health care to our patients, many of whom have advanced pulmonary diseases. Each patient is a very unique individual that comes to us with their own beliefs, backgrounds, and strengths. It is my goal to incorporate those individual qualities in providing optimal health care.
I am also blessed by a wonderful family and enjoy spending time with them, especially if it involves some outdoor activities such as kayaking, bicycling, or camping. I am fortunate to live in a beautiful state which provides unlimited outdoor opportunities. I also love to explore the nearby states, including Utah and Colorado, which I do at every opportunity. The vastness and beauty of nature is inspirational and keeps things in perspective.
Health care is a dynamic, sometimes chaotic environment. If I can provide some assistance to patients during an illness or with their chronic disease, we both benefit. I have truly never gone home from work and wondered if I should be doing something else or whether what I do makes any difference. My patients are truly a blessing to me and give me insight and strength on a daily basis. It is a privilege to work with them.
